By default, your booking form will be located at a URL like yourbusinessname.bookex.io
However, you can create a customised URL that uses your business's domain so that your form will be located at bookings.yourbusinessname.com - removing any reference to Bookex.
To set this up you need to make some modifications to your domain's DNS settings by creating a CNAME record. This sort of thing is not everyones cup of tea, so if you are in doubt about this process then forward this article to your webmaster.
The CNAME record that you need to add is simple:
- Take note of your current booking form's URL, e.g. mybusiness.bookex.io
- Now create a CNAME record that points a custom domain to the URL that you made note of in point 1. e.g. create a CNAME record for bookings.mybusiness.com pointing to mybusiness.bookex.io
- Notify support that you have created a new CNAME so that we can issue an SSL certificate to serve your booking form over HTTPS
- That's it! You're done :-)
IMPORTANT: A custom Booking Form URL is not included in the standard price plan. Please contact our sales team for more information.
